LCA first to RAP

GCB to investigate full membership in international Lutheran bodies
Following a recommendation from General Pastors Conference, Synod has asked the General Church Board (GCB) to commission a study of the implications and advisability of full membership in both the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and International Lutheran Council (ILC).

Synod expands Objects to emphasise care of children and vulnerable
Article 3 (Objects) of the LCA Constitution and Article 4 (Objects) of the Model Constitution for a Congregation have been revised to make special provision for the care of children and the vulnerable.
