‘A place to stop, reflect, confess and forgive’
Since 2015 there has been a distinctive focus on chaplaincy at conventions of synod. The current convention has benefitted from the work of ordained chaplains and lay spiritual carers, working in teams across all six days.
Memento honours indigenous Lutherans
As mementoes of their visit, Synod’s international guests were given a palm cross decorated by Queensland artist Leah Kerr.
Visitors join in spirit with delegates
As delegates meet together as Synod they are not alone. At Rosehill there is a dedicated band of registered Convention visitors gathered in the room next door, watching and listening on livestream.
Taking the pulse
Synod youth consultants take some time out from business sessions to get some sage advice from Marty. The four young men are part of Grow Ministries Youth Consultants Program.

Delegates and visitors enjoyed a wet walk into Rosehill Gardens today – and one of the smiliest faces in the rain belonged to General Church Council member Peter Zweck, who presented his first report to Synod this morning.
